Name: Tricia Kopec
Your title: Millennial Digital Marketing & Lifestyle Leader
Your elevator pitch:
As a digital marketer my goal is to work with my clients to help educate, elevate, and grow their business. As a millennial leader I have a get sh*t done attitude that has allowed me to quickly build my career. With a passion for business, personal development, health & wellness my goal is to challenge other millennials to build a life of meaning and success (whatever that means to them). This has taken me down a path of becoming a spin instructor at SPINCO Oakville as well where I can motivate & move.
One word to describe yourself:
Energetic
Why did you choose that word?
1) I don’t stop. Most times I don’t know how I get so much done in a week!
2) One of my strengths is the energy I bring into a room or conversation. It’s something I’m always complimented on. Your energy can have a tremendous impact on the people around you and you need to build it and work on it.
Why did you start the business that you did and what was the inspiration or reasoning of how it came it life?
I actually work full-time at a Marketing Company in Guelph and absolutely love it. I’m grateful to be in a culture that has high respect for their clients and team members. On my journey as a marketer, I have started to do work on the side whether it’s admin and marketing work for the Entrepreneurs’ Organization or helping friends and family with their projects.
Being raised by two entrepreneurs I have always valued building a business that is your own and creating an impact. Financial and time freedom alongside making an impact are extremely important to me which is why I love doing what I do full time and on the side.
As an influencer and spin instructor, I have always had a passion for health and wellness. It’s where I get all of my energy from. I wake up everyday feeling abundant and energized and I wanted to share this with others. These platforms also give me an opportunity to motivate others to take ownership for their life and to lead it to the fullest.
First thought when you officially became your own boss:
Let’s do this!
When you’re not hustling, what do you do in your free time?
Haha - free time! When I do find it, you’ll see me reading a book, working out, travelling, learning, hanging out with my family and friends, hanging out at cool coffee shops and restaurants, or creating in my kitchen.
What is your biggest accomplishment?
This is tough. There’s so many different accomplishments in a variety of areas in my life. My most recent one is paying off my student loan in under 2.5 years. Also, being asked by the Canadian Regional council for the Entrepreneurs’ Organization to run 6 different marketing campaigns for chapters across Canada.
What are your top 3 bucket list items?
1. Skydive in Hawaii or Australia
2. Travel to 60 countries
3. Be on the female Fortune 500 list
What or who inspires you to keep doing what you’re doing?
My family. They came to Canada with no money, no language, no friends or family. Watching them work extremely hard and building a life here inspires me to build a life where I can support them financially.
Making and impact & financial freedom. We all have so much potential inside each and every one of us. It’s all about building the right habits to live a life full of energy, success, and love. Financial and time freedom are what I strive to achieve so I can not only help others but also live a life with no limitations.
What is your spirit animal and why?
Jaguar - Sassy, strong willed, unique, graceful
What is your daily mantra?
I am surrounded by unlimited abundance.
What are some tips and tricks you use to stay motivated?
- Realize every failure is an opportunity for growth and a lesson
- Writing down what your grateful for and your goals every morning/evening
- Study and read successful people - they all started somewhere
- Constantly finding the positive
- Don’t take things personally
- Listen to podcasts and inspirational Youtube videos
- Know that you are capable of achieving whatever you want
- Everything happens for a reason
- Find your WHY
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learnt along the way?
Again, there’s been so many important lessons! One that comes to mind is to never stop learning. Always take a student mindset no matter where you are in life. Ask questions and ask for feedback. The quicker you can learn from your mistakes and follow the success of others, the better you’ll become.
Also, you are in control of your choices. Everything in your life is because of the choices you decide to make every single day. Stop blaming others and look at yourself. Don’t make excuses. Your life is in your hands and you have the power to choose how you want to live your life. Little choices over time create massive results.
What’s next for you?
Now that I have paid off my loan I am looking forward to being debt free for awhile and saving up for a car or house!
At work, looking forward to continuously learning and stepping into becoming a successful female in business and working alongside our CEO to help grow Intrigue.
