MP Local: Andrea Mondoux

Happy Wednesday, aka blog day, aka #mplocal feature day! YAY! We are excited to share today's feature because not only is she an inspiration to us and many women but she's become part of our little tribe of business babes empowering one another!

Andrea, which you might recognize from Instagram as Balance Bliss Blog - is literally what she describes herself as: 'not your average' healthy lifestyle coach. She works with women to empower them to live healthy lifestyles in all areas of their lives - fitness, personal, business etc..., taking a holistic approach to their overall wellbeing.

We are so excited to introduce and for you to get to know Andrea Mondoux!

Name: Andrea Mondoux

Your title: ‘Not Your Average” Healthy Lifestyle Coach

Your elevator pitch:

Helping women transform their lives from feeling hopeless and overwhelmed, to empowered and confident. I am committed to changing the way women think about themselves. I believe every woman deserves to feel confident and healthy and I’ve made it my personal mission to see that happen.

One word to describe yourself:

Passionate

Why did you choose that word?

I chose the word passionate to describe me because everything I do is all in. My personal life, my relationships, my business, my clients- I am so passionate about taking care of people and helping them to feel loved and supported!

Why did you start the business that you did and what was the inspiration or reasoning behind how it came it life?

I started this idea because I wanted to help women to stay motivated in their fitness. I found that by keeping other people motivated it also motivated me. I soon realized that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is about more than just staying motivated to workout- so I started exploring more of the reasons why. I pursued a holistic health certification, built a signature program that addresses and teaches women all the underlying habits to a healthy lifestyle and the rest is history (let’s be real though, it wasn’t that easy!)

First thought when you officially became your own boss:

There are things I am strong at, and things I struggle with. Those things that I struggle with, I could either google them to learn, or reach out to an expert. I am a fast and willing learner so there is a lot I have been able to learn, but also things I let the pros do, and that’s ok! I don’t have to do it all!

When you’re not hustling, what do you do in your free time?

I love creating and being outdoors! Whether it’s writing, podcasting or spending time in the garden, walking or biking with my family, anything that makes me smile, I’ll be doing it!

Describe a day in your life:

Because creating impact is such an important value of mine, each morning during the week I am teaching a classroom full of students who are pursuing a second career is social services. (Social Services is my background!) Most afternoons are spent working on content, doing videos and connecting with clients.

After school pickup, I spend as much time as I can with my family. My daughter, my husband and our big newfie lab named Zero.

What is your biggest accomplishment?

I have two. My first one is taking my idea to help motivate women to be active and healthy and having transformed it to the empire it’s becoming today. The second, becoming a mom and growing a human.

But I’m always striving for more! There are some exciting things in the works!

What are your top bucket list items?

To return to the place where we went for our honeymoon. Jamaica. It was breathtaking.

To write a best-seller.

What or who inspires you to keep doing what you’re doing?

My clients. When I can see someone making changes to their habits and in the way they look at things, the way they speak to themselves, or they share with me the impact my work has had. That steam fills my cup and keeps me going!

What is your daily mantra?

Be the Change you want to see in the world.

What are some tips and tricks you use to stay motivated?

Checking off to do lists is really helpful for me! If I know what needs to be done, it’s easy for me to stay focused and complete the task.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned along the way?

Staying true to who you are and being confident in how you are doing things. This is the era of health coaches and there are many of them out there. Remembering that I am doing things differently, in my own way and that I have transformed lives because of it what keeps me going forward.

What’s next for you?

So many exciting things! Later this year I will be launching a book. This book will be the how-to’ that women have been waiting for. How to finally achieve a healthy lifestyle in spite of your work critic… yourself.

With the recent launch of The Balance + Bliss Podcast- we have some things up our sleeve that you will just have to stay tuned for :)
